Year long campaign

Mahatma Gandhi was the preeminent leader of Indian nationalism in British-ruled India. Employing non-violent civil disobedience, Gandhi led India to independence and inspired movements for non-violence, civil rights and freedom across the world. October 2nd, 2014, marked 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, father of our nation. He not only inspired thousands to come together and fight for the freedom but also set up an example for generations to come about patriotism, citizenship and service to humanity. To hail the existence of such an iconic personality, to pay tribute to his outstanding commitment to the nation, and to inspire thousands to contribute to his dream of building a great India, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in association with Yuva Unstoppable launched “Gandhi Army”. Gandhi's life and teachings have inspired many liberationists of the 20th Century, including Dr. Martin Luther King in the United States, Nelson Mandela and Steve Biko in South Africa, and Aung San Suu Kyi in Myanmar.On October 2nd 2014, we stood for Mahatma Gandhi.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC)

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation or the AMC, established in July 1950 is responsible for the civic infrastructure and administration of the city of Ahmedabad. Their vision is " "Vibrant, productive, harmonious, sustainable and environmental friendly, clean and livable city having a responsive local government offering its citizens a good quality of life" " AMC was the first municipality in Asia to have accessed the capital markets, and enjoys a high credit rating (AA+ by CARE)

YUVA Unstoppable

Incepted in 2005, YUVA Unstoppable is a youth movement with the mission to inspire and mobilize every Indian to give 2 hours/week for better India. In last 9 years, YUVA Unstoppable has mobilized more than 100,000 volunteers to conduct acts of service such as teaching in government schools, mentoring kids from less privileged background, spreading smiles around orphanages and old age homes, raising awareness and acting around various social issues, handing out scholarships, creating platform to identify and nurture talents in kids


Specialization in various fields of communication and design for many years and serving unusual perspective, Dimension 360 was on board for the execution of the project. With more than 5000 people on 2nd October, the project was successfully implemented. Hundreds of volunteers came together for this noble cause, working extra times, and giving their best to make this event a successful historic event.

Participants had to be present at the venue at 2 pm on 2nd October 2014 to participate in the frame. Registrations were opened up through website as well as through SMS and social media. Thousands of people registered themselves in the span of 10 days. All the people gathered were dressed black, and had a black color cardboard in their hand. The cardboard was two-colored. Aerial shots were captured, wherein once the image was complete black (silhouette) image and after 15 minutes everyone holding the cardboard flipped the card, and the whole image got converted in a tri-color Indian flag.

All the registered participants had the seal #GandhiArmy on their wrist before they entered the frame. The structure had four door entry system where in people with orange cardboards entered from north, with white entered from two entry points; one on east and one on west, and the green ones entered from south. All the participants stood still for 30 minutes and they were a part of this unique image.

Mahatma Gandhi believed in "Unity in Diversity" and this was an initiative taken by Yuva Unstoppable to pay a lifetime tribute to the father of the nation (India), Mahatma Gandhi and to spread the same message across the country

Pledge for Cleanliness

This was an initiative by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in association with Yuva Unstoppable to share the knowledge with the community regarding consequences of unhealthy environment and to raise a collective awareness to inspire the youngsters to be a role model for generations to come. Everyone present in the event took a pledge to keep Ahmedabad City clean and green, and adapt an environmental friendly lifestyle to make this city, the cleanest city of world by 2nd October 2015.
